Rick Huckstepp has been involved in the fishing and boating industry for three decades, has fished extensively around and throughout Australia and is a regular visitor to the various islands in the South Pacific. He has run fishing charters in Australia’s Northern Territory since 1986 and fishes with lure, bait or fly for many fresh, light tackle and blue water species. He is a past holder of the world record for dogtooth tuna on fly rod and is the current Australian fly rod record holder for giant trevally. When not writing and photographing for many of Australia’s fishing and boating publications he runs stage presentations at tackle and boat shows as well as fishing clubs around Australia on a variety of fishing and boating subjects. Rick is currently filming “Rick Huckstepp’s How To…” series of DVD’s on everything fishing and boating be it blue, salt or freshwater to the gear, equipment and maintenance for various persuasions of fishing and boating.
